House 1 (Can Tagomago) was built
in 1970 and is a copy of the typical, Ibicencan finca style. In 2008,
the house was completely renovated and modernised, but we have kept
the original, round contours of the house as well as a number of charming,
traditional features such as the kitchen bar, the small wooden windows
and the Mediterranean shutters.
House 2 (Casa Nubita), built in 2006, is not a copy
of the old tradition but a new interpretation, a house for post-modern
life, so to speak. The typical cubic forms are still dominant, but the
contours are sharp-edged, the windows are large and face the sun. In
winter, they are an efficient solar heating system. In summer, the folding
doors can be opened and the entire upper floor be converted into a spacious
terrace. The kitchen then turns into a comfortable and practical summer
kitchen. And of course, there is a flexible sunshade on the terrace
so that you can get as much sun or shade as you want.
We all want to have a cosy place to withdraw once in a while –
therefore, our house has a pleasant little living room with a super
king-size divan, fire place, satellite-TV and stereo equipment. Especially
in winter, this is the comfy corner of the house.
Of course, our Nubita philosophy applies to both houses:
no annoying bits and pieces, but functional, high-quality comfort and
concentration on what really is important to relax and unwind.
We believe that a good night sleep is extremely important to relax and
unwind. Therefore, we have equipped all bedrooms with beds made from
solid wood and high-quality anti-mite mattresses – ideal for all
allergy sufferers.
In both houses you will find a lot of photographs. Urban and rural motives
have been combined on purpose and are the owners’ own production
– photography, editing and printing. If you like the pictures,
please leave them where they are. You can buy them. At a fair price.
The photographer does not want to get rich, but he is happy if you enjoy
the pictures.
The difference between swimming and bathing.
There are many piscinas, most of them are nothing but a small
basin to refresh. Our pool is 13,5 m long so that you can actually swim
in it. All year through, because we have a solar heating system which
heats up the water in autumn, winter and spring. And the sheltered corner
between the two houses even allows you to sunbathe in the middle of
winter!
